Today, I stand in awe and gratitude, reflecting on the incredible journey that has brought us to the ribbon cutting of the ProMedica Eidi Family Rehabilitation Center on Flower Hospital’s campus. This moment is deeply personal and profoundly meaningful, and I want to take a moment to thank the extraordinary people who made it possible.
First, I extend my heartfelt thanks to ProMedica, the ProMedica Foundation, and the entire ProMedica Rehabilitation Center team. Your extraordinary dedication, compassion, and expertise have not only healed my loved ones—my mother, my aunt, my uncle, and my mentor, Mr. Tolson—but also countless others in our community. You have brought love and hope to those in need, giving so many a second chance at life. It is truly our honor and privilege to witness your unwavering commitment, which inspires us to continue working in areas that are near and dear to our hearts.
I also want to express my sincere gratitude to the key leaders and visionaries who have shaped the path of ProMedica’s mission and legacy. The late Russ Ebied was a guiding light, and his vision has been carried forward by the prior incredible leaders like Randy Oostra, Gary Cates, Robin Whitney, and Kate Sommerfield. Today, under the great leadership of Arturo Polizzi , and brilliant new CPO Christi Ansberg, Mark Rose, and so many others, your leadership continues to transform lives in our community for the better.
To the mentors who have shaped me, I owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude. Mr. Tolson, your wisdom and guidance in my career have been priceless. And to my childhood mentor, Pat Giamarco, you have held a special place in my heart for years.
I also want to take a moment to acknowledge my remarkable team. Robert Ruiz, Doug Flick, Carol Peatee, Ryan Buganski, Whitney Carter, Cheryl Burton, Tom Nixon, Rob Sauer, Mike Cartell—each of you has contributed your immense talent, dedication, and loyalty to building an extraordinary family office. You are more than colleagues; you are family.
To my trusted friends and counselors—Jerry Parker, Anthony Calamunci, the Liber family, the Krawetz family, the Awad and Awada families, the Deen family, the Shousher family, the Mansour family, the Hajjar family, the Tolson family and countless others—thank you for your unwavering support and friendship.
A special acknowledgment to my dear friend and brother Chris Kouza, and my spiritual leaders, Sayed Hassan Qazwini and Father Michael, for your wisdom and prayers that have guided me on this journey.
Lastly, and most importantly, to my family—my dear aunt Sit Rabab Sadr, my mother, my father, my sister, my beautiful wife Faye, and my sons Danny, Joey, and Sam—you are my foundation and my inspiration. Without your love and support, none of this would be possible.
I thank God for the blessing of these extraordinary people in my life. Together, we share a commitment to healing, building, and growing—not just for ourselves, but for the community and the generations to come.
Thank you all, from the depths of my heart, for being part of this incredible journey.
